The match team takes 4th place in the RoboSoft Competition

The match student team took fourth place in the RoboSoft conference competition in the “Harvesting of Delicate Fruits” category.

The aim of the competition was to develop a gripper that is suitable for harvesting raspberries so that the delicate fruit remains undamaged when gripped.  A total of nine teams presented their creative and very different gripper designs at the competition, which took place in Lausanne, Switzerland. The team's participation was funded by the priority program SPP2100 “Soft Material Robotic Systems”, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).

The team consisted of Bente Gerlach, Silke Haustein, Julia Eisfeld, Süheyla Yilmaz, Anna Lena Geisler and Janna Schulte and was led by Cora Maria Sourkounis.

After the competition, the team had the opportunity to attend the conference presentations and learn more about the research field of soft robotics. This experience provided valuable insights into current developments and encouraged exchange with experts from around the world.
