FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF SPP2100 AT DLR

From March 11th to 13th, 2024, the priority programme SPP 2100 on Soft Material Robotics held its General Assembly at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) near Munich. The event was marked by a series of enlightening presentations and discussions that showcased the remarkable progress of our individual projects. We sincerely thank the DLR for hosting us and providing an excellent setting for our assembly.

Two of the many highlights of the assembly were the keynote talks addresses by two distinguished experts in the field. Dr. Josie Hughes delivered a compelling talk on the latest advancements in soft robotics, emphasizing the innovative applications and future directions of the technology. Dr. Cosimo Della Santina captivated the audience with his insights into the modeling and control of continuum robots, providing valuable perspectives that are set to propel our research further.

Participants also enjoyed a tour of the DLR facilities. This guided tour offered an up-close look at the cutting-edge research and development taking place within the DLR, leaving us all inspired and motivated by the impressive work being conducted.

The assembly was a resounding success, fostering fruitful discussions, collaborations, and a shared vision for the future of soft material robotics. We look forward to continuing this momentum and advancing our collective goals.
